Leadership Development
We believe in a positive approach to leadership development. Consequently, we are more concerned with identifying and leveraging an individual’s unique signature strengths than we are in directing people towards a prescriptive, one-size-fits-all model of leadership. This is the philosophy behind our approach to leadership development.

We believe this makes leadership development a positive process while raising the individual’s awareness of signature strengths, how they can best be leveraged and where development activities should be focused. Leadership development at Assure Programs can either be an individual process of coaching leaders around acquiring particular skill sets or through one of our group programs. These programs are generally run over several days and involve a combination of individual and group activities, psychometric assessment, feedback and development planning.

Leaders, especially those on the front line, are the single most important ingredient for building a productive and high-performing workforce.
Executive Coaching
Executive coaching enhances both the performance and well-being of the individual. Typically, we focus the executive on enhancing leadership effectiveness, facilitating desired change in behaviour and developing emotional and relational competencies. Our executive coaching is focused on attaining realistic goals that are clearly defined and grounded in both business and personal need. An important feature of the executive coaching is our high quality feedback regarding the alignment of individual and organisational goals. As psychologists, we have the advantage of being able to strategically use a broad range of psychometric tools to enhance the feedback and guidance we provide to our executive clients.
Conflict Management
Unresolved conflict represents a significant cost to the organisation. Assure Programs emphasises achieving sustainable change in our approach to conflict management. Consequently, we measure success not only by the settlement of a dispute, but also by the extent to which the parties are able to sustain a shift toward constructive interaction. Our model of conflict management encourages organisational learning by assisting individuals to develop insight and skills that can be applied to future situations.

As psychologists our management of organisational conflict is always based on a thorough assessment. Our assessment takes into account the individual characteristics of the parties involved, the broader organisational environment surrounding the conflict and the parameters for intervention with respect to both desired outcomes and cost. We typically employ a range of intervention strategies that include, and extend beyond, mediation. Our understanding of human behaviour and expertise in the practice of psychology enables us to work effectively with all types of conflict.
Executive Assessment
Executive assessment at Assure Programs is based on a rigorous, evidence based approach to human capability assessment. Our executive assessment process can be used for external or internal recruitment, career transition and development, as part of executive coaching and as a means of succession planning. Our methodology is designed to provide a rounded understanding of an individual’s psychological makeup and the impact this has on their current and potential managerial and leadership effectiveness. We use psychometric tests in conjunction with sound biographical and performance data to make reliable and valid judgements about the individual. Individuals can then be benchmarked against organisational capabilities and the requirements of the role.
Team Development
At Assure Programs, we move teams beyond ‘team building’ to a genuine level of team development. Our expertise in assessment allows us to identify both individual and team strengths and development areas. We work with teams at all stages of development to assist them assess their current state of functioning and improve the effectiveness with which they operate.

In facilitating team development, we use a range of tools and processes (including individual and team profiles) to help team members understand more about their own work preferences and those of others. This understanding forms the foundation for establishing more effective teamwork. Throughout these workshops, we challenge team members to identify how they contribute to the overall success of the team and what barriers they need to overcome. Our goal in the delivery of these programs is to enhance morale as well as tangibly improve productivity and service delivery.
Lunchbox Sessions
Assure Programs Lunchbox sessions provide practical introductions to a variety of self management skills and information topics. These sessions focus on enhancing work/life balance, increasing personal effectiveness and improving working relationships, resulting in maximum satisfaction and productivity at work. Lunchbox sessions run for an hour, are facilitated by our qualified and experienced psychologists and offer a meaningful, enjoyable and energising introduction to a topic or skill. While these sessions cannot provide comprehensive 'training' they can stimulate employees' interest in positive self and work management skills, and provide tips and directions for self-improvement.
